Jessica's practice includes intellectual property litigation and contract law, in addition to extending to trademark prosecution.

 

Her practice in intellectual property litigation focuses in particular on trademark disputes and, as such, has represented several clients before the Trademarks Opposition Board, the Federal Court, and the Federal Court of Appeal.

 

Her contract practice includes reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts, particularly in copyright and information technology, including software licensing and software development and commercialization agreements.

 

In trademark law, Jessica conducts availability searches, prepares and files Canadian and international trademark applications, drafts responses to examiner's reports, drafts and negotiates trademark coexistence agreements and other contractual documents, develops trademark law strategies, and represents clients in various proceedings such as opposition and trademark cancellation proceedings.

 

Before joining our firm, Jessica practiced intellectual property law at an international firm.
